Meet the 12 cybersecurity startup finalists of the Kaspersky Open Innovation Program (Sponsored) | EU-Startups
Having reviewed 186 applications from 36 countries, the Kaspersky Open Innovation Program “Cyber Security for Small & Medium Businesses” has selected its top 12 finalists. The largest number of applications came from the US, UK, Israel, Russia, Germany, and France, with every third application receiving a high rating from the organizers.
“This is the 4th set of startups in the year of the Open Innovation program. We focused on a narrow request from business – a focus on cybersecurity solutions for SMB (small and medium-sized businesses) to protect cloud applications and the network. As a result, with the support of scouts, we managed to collect an impressive funnel of startups and select truly deep-tech projects from various countries”, commented Andrey Nikonov, Startup Engagement Manager.
On September 30th, an online Demo Day took place, in which all 12 finalists successfully presented their projects to Kaspersky experts. All startups were congratulated for their excellent performances and bright participation, by both Kaspersky, and its scouting partners – GoTech Innovation, F6S, Axis Innovation and Dsight.
Polina Yunda, Scouting Manager at Dsight, explained further: “Kaspersky SMB call was a great opportunity for Dsight, а leading Russian venture market analytics platform. Within the challenging time frame, we successfully identified more than 2,500 highly-specialized deep-tech startups in around 10 countries all over the world. As a result, 60+ applications were received, of which more than 30 were selected for next round. Our team was happy to take a part in this sprint and help to connect young technology companies with an international leader in IT Security!”.
So, let’s meet the finalists!
The next stage of the programme will involve the winners working jointly with Kaspersky on product development, as well as receiving technical and business mentoring. Those that pass the pilot will also have access to Kaspersky channel partners (including distributors and resellers), clients and prospects.
