Min-Tech in Campbellford Receives FedDev Ontario Support for Rural Innovation
The Northumberland CFDC is providing an investment of $65,000 for Min-Tech
This funding will support product commercialization and business expansion, resulting in the creation of up to 50 new full-time jobs.
Campbellford – Min-Tech will benefit from an investment announced today by Northumberland Community Futures Development Corporation (CFDC) and MP Kim Rudd.
The Northumberland CFDC is providing an investment of $65,000 for Min-Tech through the Rural Innovation Initiative Eastern Ontario (RIIEO), a project funded by the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario).
“Northumberland CFDC is thrilled to support this innovative product expansion and to see Min-Tech capitalize on a business opportunity to bring a new state-of-the-art product portfolio to market,” said Northumberland CFDC Executive Director Wendy Curtis.
“This will not only provide recycled material with a new product lifecycle, but also create significant new jobs within Northumberland County.”

With a global commitment to environmental sustainability, Min-Tech turns post-industrial plastic waste into new products.
This investment will go towards the purchase of state-of-the-art production technology to develop a new plywood alternative made from recycled plastic.
This new waterproof product will provide the construction industry with more durable, long-lasting building materials.
“As a leader in post-production plastic reselling, Min-Tech will use these funds to explore new state-of-the-art technologies to enhance market share through innovation,” said MP Kim Rudd.
“Min-Tech continues to be a leader in the ‘Rural Renaissance’ that I so often speak of. I want to congratulate the company on the exciting path they are forging for themselves.”
Recognizing the vital role rural communities play in the region’s economy, FedDev Ontario is providing a total of $15 million over two years for the CFDCs in Eastern Ontario to deliver the RIIEO.
