Mingtiandi Property Innovation Forum Set for Tuesday – Mingtiandi

The pandemic has triggered major changes in the ways that real estate companies in Asia manage their businesses, and those changes are pushing adoption of new technology, according to a survey conducted by Mingtiandi and Yardi this August.

The results of the survey have been gathered into a report, Innovation in Asian Real Estate: Systems for a Disrupted Industry, which will be released in the opening session of the Mingtiandi Property Innovation Forum this coming Tuesday, 23 November at 10:00 AM.

In addition to releasing the findings of the technology adoption survey, the three-part forum, which is sponsored by Yardi will look at how real estate companies around Asia have been transforming their operations to meet prepare for future disruptions, and to meet rising standards for sustainability.

Three-Part Conference

In the opening session of the conference, Mingtiandi founder Michael Cole will present the report’s findings, before discussing the implications of the study with Bernie Devine, regional director for Asia Pacific with real estate systems provider Yardi.

Also joining the one-hour program to discuss how one of the world’s largest real estate fund managers is updating its processes and portfolio will be PGIM Real Estate executive director Su Lin Wee. Based in Singapore, Wee heads asset management for Southeast Asia for the US-based fund manager, while also leading the Asia Pacific unit of the firm’s innovation council.

The forum will continue on 30 November with a panel discussion on tech adoption in Asia Pacific’s logistics real estate sector featuring Forest Logistics Properties co-founder and chief executive Hank Hsu, Cushman & Wakefield head of valuation and advisory services and co-head of sustainability services for Greater China Alton Wong, and Yardi’s Bernie Devine, as well as a speaker to be named later.

The innovation forum will conclude on 2 December with a spotlight interview session with Varun Malik, the head of real estate client coverage for Asia Pacific at market information provider MSCI. During that wrap-up session, Malik will be sharing from his experiences working with property companies in Asia Pacific seeking to benchmark their performance against global standards, as well as providing insights on the financialisation of real estate is spurring change in the industry.

2022 Program Prepared

The property innovation forum is the last of seven event series that Mingtiandi has organised in 2021 with the programs having already attracted more than 10,000 viewers.
