Nokia partners with UTS for 5G Innovation Lab | Nokiapoweruser

Nokia has announced a 5-year partnership with University of Technology Sydney for a 5G Innovation Lab. The innovation lab will be build at the university’s Tech Lab campus in Sydney, Australia.

Here are highlights of the announcement made by Nokia today.

Though, interestingly the press release also talks about using the lab for exploring 6G capabilities. Nokia also intends to use this facility for testing human-robot interactions, as well as ‘Internet of Things’ capabilities.

Researchers and commercial partners will undertake projects to explore the capabilities of 5G and 6G technologies for Industry 4.0 applications such as industrial automation, agriculture and human-robot interactions, as well as ‘Internet of Things’ capabilities for Internet of Energy applications in smart grid, energy storage and management and wireless power transfer.
