Peak XV Hosts Immersion Week In US Focused On AI Innovation

Indian venture capital fund Peak XV orchestrated an immersive week for founders from 13-16 February 2024 in San Francisco. The initiative was part of the closing ceremonies for the ninth cohort of ‘Surge’, Peak XV’s pioneering scale-up program for early-stage startups. The highlight of the week was a rendezvous with Jensen Huang, CEO at Nvidia, a company at the forefront of driving AI applications with its advanced chip technologies. Founders were treated to a firsthand account of Huang’s journey and gained insights into Nvidia’s current strategic focus areas during the interactive session held at Nvidia’s campus. Attendees were also given a comprehensive demonstration of Nvidia’s solutions, showcasing their adaptability across various industries and sectors. Underlining the significance of AI in today’s business landscape, Peak XV on X compared it to the internet boom of the 90s, asserting that AI is now a critical boardroom topic and a top priority for CEOs worldwide. The immersive week was not confined solely to Nvidia’s domain; it encompassed a dedicated ‘AI day’ where founders had the opportunity to glean insights from industry leaders, including OpenAI, Uniphore, Glean, Moveworks and 6Sense, among others. With a diverse representation of startups from India, Southeast Asia and Australia, the immersion week included innovation across various sectors, including AI, deep-tech, SaaS and consumer technologies.
