Photonics Applications Week – 4th edition – Innovation in photonics reaches out end-users
Eindhoven – The 4th edition of the PHotonics APPlicationS (PHAPPS) Week will take place during the week 27 September – 1 October 2021, online and live in Eindhoven, Bleiswijk and Nijmegen, The Netherlands. PHAPPS Week is an umbrella event, geared towards the business professional interested in learning more about the practical applications of photonics in a particular field.
“When we took the initiative to organise the Photonics Applications Week back in 2018, we couldn’t foresee that so many partners share the idea and the importance that it is of paramount importance to bring end-users from different application areas and photonics professionals together”, states Pieter Hermans, CEO of Jakajima and initiator of the PHAPPS Week. “Despite the Covid-19 situation, a few of the events will take place in a hybrid form at several locations in the Netherlands. We look forward to meeting you during the week.” adds Pieter Hermans.
PHAPPS Week is all about practical applications and business cases, not theory. During the workshops, lectures, lab tours and launches you get first-hand experience and insight into how the fast growing field of photonics can benefit your business and industry.
This week is about acquiring knowledge and insights, getting up-to-date with the latest developments and establishing cooperation and partnerships. It will not be a gathering of the photonics industry researchers or people who know a lot about photonics, but a combination with professionals from other sectors such as IoT, Agrifood, Automotive, Optics & Optoelectronics.
Dedicated conferences and workshops to the above-mentioned fields will be organized by companies and organisations that are already using photonics in their business:
- September 27 – Future of Communication Conference (Online)
- September 28 – Optical Wireless Communication Conference (Online)
- September 29 – Integrated Photonics for Automotive – PhotonDelta Roadmap Launch (Online and at Hight Tech Campus Eindhoven)
- September 29 – Brainport TechlawIP, Finance and Patent Law workshop (Online)
- September 30 – Photonic Integration Conference (Online and atNovio Tech Campus, Nijmegen)
