Public Service Innovation Challenge: Pantami Empowers The Ministry’s Participants

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Pantami has digitally empowered the participants who represented the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy at the Public Service Innovation Challenge and clinched the top three positions to emerge First, Second and Third winners of the competition among 168 participants nationwide.

According to the spokesperson to the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Mrs Uwa Suleiman, she said that Dr Isa Pantami under whose purview the ministry falls expressed satisfaction at the feat while presenting them with digital tools in his office on Wednesday, 27th January 2021.

He affirmed that the ministry was proud of the achievement and that “the federal government will continue to support innovation and innovators that is why In addition to the monetary prizes won by our able teams, we are also presenting them with Laptops to further encourage and support their drive”.

The winning teams presented with Laptops by Dr Pantami include; Sogunro Oyindamola and Iliya Abdurrahman who won the first prize for developing a software solution that provides a reliable platform for organization, Oluwaseun Winsala and Francis Ebire came second with their Digital ID Wallet Blockchain solution, while Zainab Saka an Tolulope Ibitoye came third with an effective reward system for civil servants.

The maiden edition of the competition organized by the Office of the Head of Service of the federation also saw the Ministry carting away the fourth and fifth positions at the competition.

It will be recalled that the competition is aimed at promoting innovation in the public service.
