Queensland EV owners invited to participate in SmartCharge research program – Australia’s first Automotive Innovation Hub – MTAiQ
Do you own an electric vehicle (EV) registered in Queensland and would like to earn a minimum of $100?
Queensland energy providers Ergon and Energex are conducting a new research program to gain a better understanding of how Queenslanders use and charge their EVs and are looking for participants.
The EV SmartCharge QLD Research Program will look at when and how EV users recharge their vehicles in the hopes of identifying and implementing an effective, up-to-date method for managing the states transition to EVs.
The program will consist of two stages, with participants set to receive a $100 reward for each stage they participate in.
In stage one, 200 EV owners will be sent an On-Board Diagnostic System Information device to insert into their OBDII port. This device will automatically collect and transmit data about when and how the vehicle is being charged to researchers for a period of 12-months.
Following this period, stage two will commence, involving a two-year trial of alternative methods for managing EV charging.
Expressions of interest (EOIs) are now open to all eligible Energex/Ergon area EV owners in Queensland to take part in the program.
If you are interested in taking part in this program and are eligible, click the link below to submit an EOI.
