Description: The Science Writer/ Content Producer is a critical new role at IPI tasked with introducing and promoting IPI’s growing reputation through the creative use of narrative, news and other content for print and digital channels. This individual will possess a keen eye for finding and crafting innovative stories related to our scientists, platform teams and external collaborators. As we prepare to launch our new website, this individual will be responsible for building content and keeping the website current and interactive. In addition, the Science Writer will further build and manage our social media channels, helping conceive and launch campaigns and align them with institutional messaging.
This job is an opportunity to work in a highly science-focused organization, the brainchild of Moderna’s founder, Timothy Springer. The job involves combining scientific understanding with high-level communication skills and is pivotal to the organization as it evolves from a start-up to a burgeoning enterprise.
Day to day, you will be writing blog pieces, finding social media snippets and editing collateral produced by our technical staff. In addition, you will contribute to annual reports, presentations and marketing materials. Experience with multimedia is not required but preferred. As IPI’s founder is regularly in the news, this individual will actively track and promote news stories published outside IPI.
