Spark Festival: The Future of Tech Design and Innovation is Accessible – Remarkable

Did you know that for every dollar invested into assistive technology there is a $9 return?* Did you know the Disability market is an emerging market larger than China and controls over $13 trillion in annual disposable income? Did you know that the electric toothbrush, audio books, automatic doors, texting, were all innovations originally designed for people with disability?

From investment to untapped market potential, this is an event for those eager to embrace the rapidly growing wave of the health and disability-tech space. In the wake of recent global events like Covid-19 and Climate Change, this wave continues to grow in momentum as we increasingly understand the urgent need for tech designed with and for humans at large. You are invited to join this conversation about the significance and opportunity for innovators and funders making tech accessible, inclusive and equitable.

This event, hosted to celebrate Spark Festival 2022, will kick off with a presentation on the Future of Tech, Design and Innovation from Pete Horsley, Founder of Remarkable, that will set the tone for a panel discussion moderated by Mel Tran with a stellar lineup of speakers (see below). The panel will be followed by an audience-led Q&A and networking, for those attending in-person.

This is a hybrid event, live streamed and as well as held in-person at a wheelchair accessible venue. Sign Language Interpretation will be available. When completing the registration form, please let us know if there is anything else we can do to ensure you have an inclusive, accessible and enjoyable experience.
