Suffolk’s Legal Innovation Certificate Program Gets New Faculty Member – Me

I wrote previously about the online legal innovation and technology certificate program run by Suffolk University Law School — a series of six courses, delivered online, that teach lawyers and other legal professionals how to deliver their services more effectively and efficiently in a rapidly changing marketplace.

The program’s summer session starts May 26, and I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be helping teach one of the summer-session courses, 21st Century Legal Services, along with Jordan Furlong.

This course covers critical market insights and strategic and tactical recommendations for operating a law firm or legal services business. The coursework will focus on upheaval in the legal market and how to compete successfully in the new legal services landscape to come.

(While the course was designed before the pandemic, I plan to weave in discussion and readings related to upheaval resulting from the pandemic.)

The course will consist of recorded online lectures delivered by Jordan along with discussion board activities, knowledge checks and outside reading that I will coordinate.

This course is one of six offered through the certificate program. Others are:

Summer (starting May 26)

Fall (starting Sept. 8, 2020)

Spring (starting Jan. 19, 2021)

You can take any number of the courses, but if you successfully complete all six, you earn the Legal Technology & Innovation Certificate.
