AUSTIN, TX (August 28, 2019) – The Texas Restaurant Association (TRA) today announced the promotion of Anna Tauzin to Chief Revenue and Innovation Officer, effective immediately. TRA represents the state’s $66 billion restaurant industry with more than 48,000 locations and 1.3 million jobs across the state. The promotion comes four months after the announcement of a new CEO for the association, Emily Williams Knight, Ed.D.

In this newly created role, Tauzin will be responsible for improving and adding to the Association’s suite of member solutions, including training, certification, and insurance. She will also continue to oversee the Association’s marketing, communications, and business development as well as education at TRA Marketplace, the Association’s annual education conference and trade show.

“Anna’s passion and dedication to the restaurant industry is unparalleled,” said Knight. “She has been a consistent voice for restaurant innovation and is a loyal advocate for improving the lives and businesses of our members. This promotion reflects Anna’s contributions and commitment to advance the industry and to my commitment to focus on increasing member value.”

During Tauzin’s time with TRA, she has developed new ways for members to learn about best practices in profitability and operations, launched new initiatives for partners to interact with restaurant members, completely overhauled the educational programming for TRA Marketplace, and modernized the voice of the Association to make it more approachable and appealing for the next generation of leaders in the restaurant industry.

“I am thrilled about the direction the TRA is taking under our new leadership, and I’m excited to be a part of that modernization,” said Tauzin. “I’ve seen firsthand how restaurants improve lives within the communities they serve and I’m eager to explore even more ways to help these small business owners be successful.”

Tauzin frequently speaks at industry events and serves on the advisory board for SXSW Interactive, a global annual innovation conference, and Restaurant Unstoppable, the number one ranked restaurant podcast in the world. She was recently inducted into the Austin chapter of Les Dames D’Escoffier, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting the work of exceptional women in the culinary, beverage, and hospitality industries.

Tauzin joined the Texas Restaurant Association two and a half years ago, after a successful six-year career leading innovation with the National Restaurant Association.
