Untapped Innovation and BookTrust win MRS Award – Untapped Innovation
Leading innovation consultancy, Untapped Innovation, in partnership with BookTrust has won Independent Consultants of the Year, sponsored by The ICG, at the Market Research Society ( MRS) Awards 2023 for their work with vulnerable families, using innovative qualitative research. The awards, sponsored by Walr, which showcase outstanding work within the insight sector, recognise and reward the individuals, teams and organisations that promote best practice and exceed the high professional standards required. BookTrust, the UK’s largest children’s reading charity, had an ambitious five-year strategy to further its work with families from low-income or vulnerable backgrounds. To guide this strategy, Untapped Innovation conducted research with target families, alongside semiotic analysis and social listening, centring on both children’s and parent’s needs. From here, a number of exciting ideas were developed and prototyped, as well as the creation of actionable tools to assess future innovation. The outcomes have transformed the organisational mindset and will guide the charity for years to come.
