VeChain (VET) to Speak on Marine Development at Sino-Norwegian Sustainable Innovation Webinar – NewsLogical

The VeChain Foundation has again been invited to an important event, which would host a number who’s who from around the world, to come spread the words of blockchain technology and how its use cases can be used to proffer solution to some dire problems.

On June 8, 2020, VeChain (VET) would be attending Sino-Norwegian Sustainable Innovation” webinar tagged “Yunyou” after it got a prestigious invitation from organizers of the event to come do justice to the topic “sustainable marine development,” VeChain confirms via its official Weibo channel.

Thanks to a Crypto Twitter community member with pseudonym “Brot KnoblauchHaus” who unearthed the information.

VeChain would be discussing the topic in relation to blockchain and how the technology can be used to achieve a sustainable marine system.

The event is one of the big events for the year 2020 even though it would be taking place online due to the lasting pandemic.

According to a translated version of the foundation’s statement on the social media channel, the event is co-organized by top organizations like the Norwegian Seafood Agency, China Maritime Museum Weibo and Norwegian Consulate General in Shanghai. Remember that the Norwegian Seafood Agency makes use of VeChain’s toolchain for seafood sent to China and some other parts of the world, this was achieved in partnership with DNV GL.

Other organizations that also partnered to stage the event include the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences Think Tank Construction Foundation, the Norwegian Innovation Agency and some other Chinese partners.

VeChain would likely be going to the event along with its partner DNV GL, due to the specialization it has in marine-related innovations and certification. DNV GL has a maritime academy, and it has helped a number of top companies in the industry get regulatory certificates.

VeChain Aids Exportation of Norwegian Food to China

After signing a partnership with a Norwegian company, Norway In a Box, VeChain, together with DNV GL would aid the exportation of superior Norwegian products like seafood to China by developing a verification trusted platform that guarantees the safety of foods. This is all because of the safety assurance verification hurdle imported foods face on entry into the ever-demanding Chinese market.

The partnership was signed in the first quarter of 2019. To batter the stiff challenges of food safety regulation laid down by the Chinese government, VeChain would be deploying its traceability tech app My Story to proffer a transparent and immutable supply chain data assured by third-parties.

The blockchain platform is doing this together with one of the world’s most respected business assurance companies, DNV GL.

The VeChain-DNV GL My Story application allows consumers to have access to all information about goods from producer to the final stage by just scanning a bar code placed on the product into the application on smartphones.
