Visualizing How Far People Are Traveling in the United States – Center for Data Innovation
Descartes Labs, an analytics company based in New Mexico, has released a regularly updated dataset on changes in mobility in the United States. The dataset uses anonymized mobile device location data to provide information on how much a typical individual in a county or state moves in a day. For example, the data indicates that individuals in Washington, DC, are traveling more often than in April but are still traveling less than in February.
