CLIMATE TECH STARTUPS LAND AT JONES BEACH
FOR ENERGY INNOVATION SHOWCASE
NEW YORK CITY, NY—October 4, 2021. For ClimateTech is pleased to host the Energy Innovation Showcase on October 12, 2021. Held in the Jones Beach Energy & Nature Center, a net-zero building on Long Island, the Energy Innovation Showcase presents an opportunity for investors and the general public to learn about emerging climate technologies developed by startup companies.
An investor-only portion of the Energy Innovation Showcase begins at 10:00 a.m. and then the event opens to the general public from Noon to 4:00 p.m.. Keynote speakers include Alex Pozdnyakov from the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA), Michael Wise from the New York State Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP), and Katie MacDonald from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). The showcase will feature climate technologies including:
Custom urban solar solutions developed by Pvilion, Hydronomy, and Urban Energy
Electric vehicle demonstrations including Clip.Bike’s pedal assist E-bike and KIGT’s portable EV-charging solution
Renewable energy technologies such as Frio’s heat trace controller, and Breezi’s predictive maintenance for HVAC systems
Urban farming and clean water filtration such as Folia Materials and Farmshelf
New York State is a landscape that is ripe with opportunity for climate tech innovators to develop solutions that will help meet the State’s aggressive climate and clean energy goals. New York is setting a clear example of how to invest in emerging technologies to reach economy-wide decarbonization.
This event is supported by NYSERDA, OPRHP, LIPA, SecondMuse, NextCorps, GSA, ESA, Clean Energy Business Incubator Program —to bring together founders, funders, and the community to explore the best and brightest energy solutions for climate action and mitigation.
