Don’t Do Any Innovation in Islam | Top Islamic

Any innovation of rituals and beliefs in Islam is unacceptable. Every rituals and beliefs in Islam are based on al Qur’an and hadith. Any ritual and beliefs that has no basis and evidence from al Qur’an and hadith, then that is not part of Islam and will be rejected by Allah.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

مَنْ أَحْدَثَ فِى أَمْرِنَا هَذَا مَا لَيْسَ مِنْهُ فَهُوَ رَدٌّ

“Whoever innovates something in this matter of ours [matter of Islam] that is not part of it, will have it rejected (by Allah)” [al Bukhari & Muslim].

He also said:

مَنْ عَمِلَ عَمَلاً لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ أَمْرُنَا فَهُوَ رَدٌّ

“Whoever does a ritual (in Islam) that has no basis from us, then that ritual is rejected (by Allah)” [Muslim].

Ibn Rajab said, “means, every single one of our actions and deeds should be aligned with the guidelines of Islam”.
