Change for Kids hires new Senior Director of Programs & Innovation, Travis Welcome! – The Change for Kids Blog

Change for Kids is proud to announce our new Senior Director of Programs & Innovation, Travis Welcome. In a world that is ever changing, having someone at the crossroads of impactful programming and forward thinking innovation will be critical for our organization’s health and growth.

Travis is a proud Brooklyn native who advocates on behalf of youth, with a specific focus on children in the Foster Care/Child Welfare system. Prior to joining Change for Kids, Travis was the Director of After School & Mentorship Programs at Mott Haven Academy Charter School, as well as the Director of Camp Felix at The Felix Organization. With over 12 years of program management and youth development experience, Travis is dedicated to designing programs that offer children the opportunity to explore, engage & reimagine their possibilities. In addition to collaborating with young people, mission-aligned organizations, and local government officials, in Travis’ former roles, he also partnered with corporations such as TD Bank, Apple, NY Jets & NY Yankees to develop meaningful experiences for children that provide exposure and increase social awareness. He also serves as Co-Chairman for the NY Foundling Junior Board of Directors.

Travis believes that “with one idea and the right resources, children can be taught to look beyond their circumstances and evolve into tomorrow’s world leaders.” Change for Kids is thrilled to collaborate with Travis to develop new and innovative ways to continue to create opportunities for kids so they can overcome inequity.
