GSF Corporate IT Team Recognized with Boomi Customer Innovation Platinum Award – Golden State Foods

GSF vendor partner Boomi, an intelligent connectivity and automation leader, announced in early October during its Silicon Valley Boomi World Tour in Northern California that Golden State Foods earned a Customer Innovation Platinum Award among 10 North America Platinum winners honored this year. Recognized in the Integration Excellence category, GSF’s Corporate IT team demonstrated extensive, comprehensive, and complex integrations across disciplines that had tangible operating benefits and helped the company meet its goals.
“The goal was to reduce complexity, but also bring in advanced technology that improves route management, optimizes fleet operations and improves the overall experience for our truck drivers,” explained Bill Chiou, GSF’s Senior Director, Applications. “When our applications vendors ran into challenges integrating these programs, our GSF team stepped up to successfully develop the code required. Starting in August, our drivers and in turn, our foodservice customers, directly benefitted from this integration advancement, thanks to our talented IT developers who made it happen in just six weeks!”
The Boomi platform supports a collection of cloud applications that now function together on the last-mile delivery drivers’ devices to help transportation operations run smoothly and safely across the company’s U.S. network of 25 distribution centers.
