Today is Manufacturing Day 2018 – a day set aside to honor manufacturing companies that are unlocking new technologies to grow this important industry sector.

A key part of the annual Manufacturing Day event is to inspire young people to pursue careers in manufacturing and engineering. Today’s science, technology, engineering, and math graduates will power the next chapter of production and innovation, and harnessing their potential is an economic imperative.

Hiring and retention is a major challenge facing the nation’s manufacturing sector.
