Real-time Oscilloscopes Speed Terabit Innovation
Keysight’s real-time oscilloscopes to support terabit research with a real-time bandwidth up to 110 GHz and a sample rate to 256 GS/s.
As the demand for faster and more data continues to surge, digital speeds increase and consequently, margins decrease. Test equipment has struggled to keep up with the cutting-edge researchers that are racing to the next technology breakthrough.
Keysight’s UXR series of oscilloscopes claim to address the rapidly evolving measurement and compliance needs in the high-speed digital, terabit and optical research, 5G, RF, and aerospace and defense markets.
Keysight Infiniium UXR Series real-time oscilloscopes
Infiniium UXR-series is an ideal solution for engineers and designers working with any generation of DDR, USB, PCIe or other serial technologies, as well as PAM4, 5G, radar, satellite communications, and optical designs.
When paired with Keysight’s new up to 110GHz Optical Modulation Analyzer frontend and the VSA-based optical modulation software, the oscilloscopes turn into an end-to-end solution for optical research.
The Infiniium UXR-Series delivers a low noise floor and high vertical resolution to ensure measurements are not impacted by oscilloscope noise and signals are represented accurately. As a result, eye diagrams are significantly more open, and true margins and performance can be determined, according to the announcement.
Keysight said that the Infiniium UXR series enables designers to accelerate time to market of their innovation, with:
- 10-bit resolution and industry-leading signal integrity enables customers to experience a superior effective number of bits (ENOB) during characterization of progressively complex modulation standards
- four full-bandwidth channels to reduce timing error when working with dual-polarization coherent modulation
- full self-calibration which ensures ongoing measurement accuracy while eliminating the need to take the unit out of service
- a chipset based on a Keysight-proprietary Indium Phosphide (InP) process that enables exceptionally wide bandwidth and extremely low noise floor.
“The Infiniium UXR Series enables development teams to gain an extraordinary advantage in the race to beat their competition to market,” said Ron Nersesian, Keysight president and CEO. “Only Keysight has the expertise to deliver a system that moves multiple performance points ahead simultaneously. The industry leading 110GHz bandwidth, low noise floor and jitter, enables the acceleration of new designs in high-speed digital, optical research, wideband wireless, and beyond.”
