At Schneider Electric, we pride ourselves in our ability to deliver reliable, easy-to-use, ingenious solutions to our customers. And, it’s exactly by listening to our valued customers and industry influencers that we are able to consistently come up with innovative, award-winning product designs.
To illustrate this collaborative philosophy of ours, on 27 September 2018, we jointly hosted our global Design Innovation Summit with Houzz – the leading global platform for home renovation and design innovation.
Global Design Innovation & Trends
Hosted at Houzz’s state-of-the-art European HQ in London, this event brought together around 30 leading interior designers and architects from countries including Brazil, Mexico, China, Russia, and Spain, setting out to identify and share interior design trends across geographies. Topics that were covered included motivations for renovating the home, budgetary considerations, renovation priorities per room, as well as outsourced professional trends in the residential sector.
Houzz & Home International Comparison Report
This highly collaborative event gave participants the opportunity to highlight and compare regional home renovation trends, and proved to be an excellent forum for international networking and the sharing of trends and ideas. What’s more, key findings and feedback captured from this forum are to be used to complement Houzz’s forthcoming Houzz & Home International Comparison report – the next update of which is due to be released in country-specific format in the coming months. Finally, this event has served to reinforce the evolving partnership between Schneider Electric and Houzz, which can only be positive for the interior design market as a whole.
A collaborative approach
As leader of Schneider Electric’s Design Lab Team, I am passionate about interacting with and learning from interior design experts from around the globe. Tastes and trends are constantly changing, and so, an event like this is an excellent forum for keeping up with the latest global renovation and design trends, as well as the ideal platform for sharing the Schneider Electric design philosophy.
Houzz – connecting homeowners and professionals
I particularly appreciated having the opportunity to sit down and exchange ideas with the Houzz team. Each time, I take away fresh new learnings in terms of interior design and home improvement possibilities. What’s more, the Houzz platform is now firmly established as the leading platform for home renovation professionals, enabling them to build their brands, connect with homeowners, network with fellow professionals, and manage all their projects via the cloud.
