United States to host AIM for Climate Summit in 2023 to Increase and Accelerate Investment in Climate-Smart Agriculture and Food Systems Innovation
United States Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack announced that the United States will host the AIM for Climate Summit on May 8-10, 2023, in Washington, DC, bringing together partners to increase and accelerate investment in and support for climate-smart agriculture and food systems innovation. Supported by the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research, this premier global event, exclusively for AIM for Climate partners, will provide a game-changing platform to raise ambition, build collaborations, and share knowledge on innovative solutions in the lead-up to COP28 in the United Arab Emirates.

COP27 AIM for Climate Announcements
AIM for Climate Summit Highlights include:
Call to Action: Uniting Global Venture Investment in support of Climate-Smart Agricultural Innovation: AIM for Climate announced a “Call to Action” at COP27 to unite the global venture investment community with a mission to encourage increased investments in climate-smart agricultural innovation by funding start-ups, early-stage, and emerging companies that help to advance climate solutions. Recognizing the important role of the venture community, angel investors, venture capital, venture debt, corporate venture capital, family, foundation and institutional seed investors can play an important role to simultaneously tackle the challenges of global hunger, food insecurity, and climate change. Organizations that respond to the Call to Action will be invited to participate in high-level events during the Summit.
Grand Challenge: Leveraging the Power of AI and Machine-Learning: AIM for Climate launched the Grand Challenge: Leveraging the Power of AI and Machine-Learning. The Grand Challenge is hosted by partner Enterprise Neurosystem, an open-source artificial intelligence and machine learning research community composed of leading academic institutions and chief scientists of America’s top technology companies. The Challenge winner will receive one-on-one access to the Enterprise Neurosystem team of experts and volunteers who will assist their AI, Data Science, Software, and Hardware projects, while utilizing assets available from the group and other open sources to advance their projects globally. Round one will be facilitated through the AIM for Climate Innovation Hub. Finalists will be invited to present, and winners will be announced during the Summit.
Government Partner Ministerial: Government partners will be invited to make announcements in support of AIM for Climate to include increased investments in climate-smart agriculture and food systems innovation.
Engaging breakout sessions highlighting new investments, partnerships and progress: AIM for Climate partners will be presented the opportunity to submit session proposals with priority given to those that include an announcement of increased investments, new partnerships, and tangible progress.
Interactive exhibit hall to make climate-smart agriculture and food systems innovation tangible and hands-on: AIM for Climate partners will be invited to apply to participate in the Summit’s interactive, sensory focused, exhibit hall.
Wider activities: AIM for Climate partners will be invited to submit proposals to host and facilitate tours and/or other interactive activities in and around the Washington, DC area for Summit participants.
